This Saturday, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting their reoccurring weekly Self-Guided Beach Cleanup. Now more than ever the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center needs your help to help keep our beaches clean from debris.

Beginning in early March through the end of October is Sea Turtle Nesting Season, where thousands of sea turtles lay their eggs on the beach. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center monitors the beaches daily for new sea turtle nests.

This Saturday beginning at 8:30 am the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is having their Beach Cleanup. Volunteers can show up anytime between 8:30 am and 11 am and head to the back deck of the center and pick up your supplies at the Marine Debris Sorting Station. After supplies picked up, volunteers can make their way down to the beach to begin. Once finished, simply bring the debris back to the Sorting Station and receive a free T-shirt as a Thank You gift.

The Self-Guided cleanup is every Saturday from 8:30 am to 11:30 am.

Other events happening at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center this Saturday include:

Kids Fishing Program: 9:45 am to 12 pm

Public Guided Tours: 11 am, 12 pm, and 1 pm

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is located at 14200 US Highway One, Juno Beach.
