The L&G’s Mortgage Services business has hired Kelly Bretherton as the new head of its sourcing platform Ignite.  

The financial services group says Bretherton, who is a 26-year industry veteran, joins after 18 years with technology firms Trigold and then Iress.

Her responsibilities at these firms spanned product sourcing and advice software, customer relationship management implementation, mortgage product data and customer research.

Bretherton started her financial services career as a mortgage adviser, and so “understands the needs of a broker,” adds L&G.

The group’s Ignite platform is a free service that sources lenders and mortgage products. It also integrates lending criteria, an affordability calculator and property-checking tools.
