This weekend, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their Outstanding Natural Area Family Day. Families can explore nature and history at the Lighthouse’s Outstanding Natural Area.
Families will be able to visit the museum, the Tindall Pioneer Homestead, Historic grounds, Keeper’s Workshop exhibit, and a chance to climb to the top of the Jupiter Lighthouse. The lighthouse tower has 105 steps to the top and children must be 48 inches tall to climb the lighthouse and be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets are required for the day of fun. The event is taking place this Saturday, May 8th at 10 am. Children under the age of 18 are free to attend and will receive a Lighthouse Activity Backpack while supplies last. The backpack will include a scavenger hunt, a ranger coloring book and crayons, lighthouse binoculars, and more.
The day also marks the anniversary of the land becoming a natural area. On May 8th 2008, President George Bush signed Congressional Legislation declaring the 120 acre Lighthouse site a part of the National Conservation Lands as an Outstanding Natural Area. The Outstanding Natural Area is a protected heritage landmark for the current and future generations within the Bureau of Land Management.

Admission: $12 dollars for Adults, $10 dollars for Seniors and Veterans, Children under 18 are free to attend.
