Countrywide Surveying Services (CSS), is continuing to build its residential surveying team through its AssocRICS training programme, with 22 trainees progressing at different stages of qualification.
Eight trainees are set to qualify in late February, with a further 14 expected to complete their AssocRICS qualification in April.
The majority of trainees joined CSS from an estate agency background, bringing strong valuation skills and a clear understanding of local housing markets.
The programme combines virtual classroom learning and practical on-site experience. Trainees gain exposure to valuation building pathology and the use of data and technology within modern surveying.
As with MS NextGen, each individual is paired with an experienced mentor who offers support and guidance.
The pathway is designed to support long-term careers in residential surveying, backed by ongoing professional learning and development.
In total, around 700 surveyors have progressed to qualification through CSS’s AssocRICS training academy. And applications are now open for those interested in joining the next intake.
CSS associate director learning and development Sarah Chalmers-Stevens commented:“Our focus is not just on bringing more people into surveying, but on preparing them properly for the realities of the role.
“We are seeing more professionals move from estate agency into surveying as part of a natural career progression and this is a transition which involves building on existing experience while implementing deeper technical training, professional judgement and accountability.”
