Mortgage Hub, which is being hailed as providing a quicker, easier and more user-friendly experience for intermediaries, is due to be rolled out to the market over the coming weeks in phases.

According to Leeds, the MSO software will provide superior online functionality from application to completion and a more efficient experience, enabling borrowers to be in their new homes without delay.

It includes instant Decision In Principle (DIP) on the majority of applications, day one automated document requests and valuation instructions as well as real-time case tracking and updates.

Leeds also said it featured full self-service functionality, allowing changes without needing to call or email along with administrator and supervisor permissions offering flexibility to support remote working

Martese Carton, head of intermediary distribution at Leeds Building Society, said greater automation of applications would free up colleagues to deal with more complex cases, creating greater capacity for the diverse product range the Society is known for.

“Our investment in Mortgage Hub is directly attributed to the importance we place on supporting the mortgage market,” she explained.

“Having listened to feedback, we’ve developed this platform to provide the best possible experience and service to our intermediary partners.”

Mortgage Hub uses API technology to link to other systems, such as valuers, and offers Leeds with a base for further improvements in its innovation plans.

Carton said the phased roll-out was progressing to plan and the new system would be available to thousands more users in the coming weeks.

Andrew Simon, Iress’ executive general manager of product said: “The partnership with Leeds Building Society is a testament to the flexibility and functionality of MSO as well as the ambition and vision of the Society itself.

“In creating Mortgage Hub, Leeds Building Society has brought to market a cutting edge solution that truly benefits its users, combining technology and human interaction in the best possible way.”
