OSB Group has planned daily events to mark National Inclusion Week, an annual opportunity for companies to raise awareness of inclusion in the workplace.
The lender’s diversity and inclusion team has organised activities focusing on this year’s theme of ‘unity’, including a quiz, stories from BAME, female and disabled employees about their experiences in the workplace, and a conscious inclusivity training session.
National Inclusion Week is the latest campaign OSB Group has championed in 2021, after putting on events in support of International Women’s Day, PRIDE Month and Black History Month.
The company has also introduced a series of internal initiatives to boost staff’s wellbeing and mental health, such as sign language training to help customer-facing staff communicate with clients, virtual self-defence classes and coping with the effects of menopause.
Alan Cleary, group managing director and executive sponsor for culture at OSB Group, said: “National Inclusion Week is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate practical ways organisations can implement inclusion and inspire others to do so as well.
“Becoming a truly diverse and inclusive organisation is about more than just having the correct policies in place.
“It’s about all of us doing our part to ensure that everyone feels supported, respected and included, irrespective of age, gender, ethnicity, religious beliefs, disability, social backgrounds or sexual orientation.”
