Made in the USA Day is celebrated on July 2 by shoppers and companies as a way of boosting sales for locally made products. The special day is observed just before Independence Day.  July 4th patriotic feelings are at an all-time high, which makes “Made in the USA Day” on July 2nd a fantastic day.

Made in the USA Day encourages the manufacturing of goods in America and customers to choose to purchase goods made in the United States instead of those that are imported from elsewhere. The day also celebrates the companies and brands that manufacture their products in the United States, as well as offer work to Americans.

The “Made in the U.S.A.” label placed on products signify the country of origin as regulated by the Federal Trade Commission. While these labels are mandatory for imported goods, only some products made in America (automobiles, furs, textiles, wool) must have these labels. The legislation has been in effect since 1989.
