The comparison-to-completion platform, powered by Podium Solutions, was launched in April 2019 after which time Santander and Nationwide joined the proposition during its pilot stages.

MoneySuperMarket said the integration of its third lender, NatWest, means it now has three of the ‘big six’ on board.

Powered by technology partner, Podium Solutions, the new integration provides a quick and seamless journey for consumers to understand if they will qualify for the mortgage amount before they proceed to a full digital application form online.

The comparison site plans to extend its use of the integration technology over the coming months to replicate the process for customers searching for a mortgage on a new residential property, as well as on buy-to-let mortgages.

Dave Harries, head of digital distribution at NatWest Bank said: The integration of our Decision in Principle API into the MoneySuperMarket remortgages search offers customers an instant indication of how much we might lend to them, giving them greater transparency and confidence early in the mortgage journey.

“We look forward to expanding the offering into other types of mortgage products in the coming months.”

Mark Gracey, corporate development director at MoneySuperMarket said: “Direct digital integrations with three of the top six lenders on MoneySuperMarket’s mortgage platform simplifies the process and reduces the effort of comparing mortgages.

“We are pleased to be able to partner with the experienced team at Podium to deliver these significant enhancements for our customers.”

James Sadler, co-founder of Podium added: “MoneySuperMarket is very well placed to help customers find the best new mortgage for them.

“The new integrations greatly improve the website experience allowing those looking for a remortgage to engage with advice, or online execution only. We’ll be including more large mortgage lenders to expand the integration platform very soon.”
