SPF Private Clients (SPF) has opened a new office in Edinburgh, marking the return of the mortgage brokerage to Scotland for the first time since 2009.

Chelsea Thomson has joined SPF to head up the office in Leith. After starting her career at HSBC in London,  she returned to Scotland working for Clydesdale and Yorkshire banks.

Joining Thomson in Edinburgh are advisers Avril Cassidy and Mark Parsons.

SPF director Ayrton Fielding comments: “We are delighted to physically return to Scotland with the appointment of Chelsea and her team demonstrating our commitment to the Scottish market.

“While we have continued to arrange mortgages in Scotland during the interim period, having locally-based brokers will enhance our coverage and increase the number of people we can help across the country”.

He adds: “This is especially important in the current market when there is considerable interest rate volatility and specialist advice is more important than ever.”
