Whether you are into biking, hiking, horseback riding, running, or just wanting to explore nature, here are some of the best Nature Areas and Hiking Trails in Palm Beach County.

Riverbend Park – Jupiter

Riverbend Park is considered one of the most scenic parks in South Florida. Native wildlife including turkey, racoons, otters, birds, deer, and more have been frequently spotted along the trails and tropical 666 acres of the park. The park is made up of the historic headwaters of the Loxahatchee Wild and Scenic River and the preserved battlefield from the Seminole War.

Juno Dunes Natural Area – Juno Beach

The Natural area is located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway and is home to the largest area of scrub habitat in the Palm Beaches. The Natural area is located near the Loggerhead Marinelife Center and features a great view from the top of the ancient sand dune. The area is also home to miles of sandy trails.

The Lake Trail – Palm Beach

Bike, jog or walk along the intracoastal and Lake Trail on Palm Beach Island. The pathway takes you by elegant Palm Beach mansions and the blue water. The palm tree lined pathway leads to the iconic Worth Avenue filled with great shopping and restaurants.

Okeeheelee Park – West Palm Beach

The park is home to more than 1700 acres of land and is one of the largest parks in Palm Beach County. The park features more than 2.5 miles of trails for biking, walking, and running through the wetlands and pine flatwoods. The park also features water skiing lakes, disco golf. Tennis courts, nature center, picnic and pavilion areas, dog park, recreational fields, Equestrian center, BMX track, and a championship 27-hole Okeeheelee Golf Course.

Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge – Boynton Beach

Located in the northern part of the Florida Everglades wetlands and features 145,000 acres of marshlands which provides refuge to endangered snail kites, many species of birds and the American alligator. Make sure to stop by the visitor’s center and visit some of the interesting exhibits.
