MPowered Mortgages has promoted Matt Surridge to the position of sales director following the departure of Emma Hollingworth.

Hollingworth, who was managing director of mortgages, is leaving the firm to embark on a new role.

Surridge has been at MPowered for over two years and was previously a key account manager.

He has 20 years of experience working with brokers in business development roles within the mortgage industry at firms such as Mortgage Brain, Countrywide and Lloyds Banking Group.

At MPowered, Surridge will be responsible for heading up the sales team across all regions in the UK, both supporting existing, and developing new, broker relationships.

He says: “I’m delighted to be taking on this new role at a time when MPowered Mortgages’ is leading the way for technological innovation in our industry using the power of AI to speed up and transform the process of getting a mortgage.

“I feel passionately about its goal to bring mortgages into the 21st century using the power of technology and I am excited about the opportunity to grow our reach as one of the leading residential mortgage players in this marketplace.”
