Halifax updates intermediary site to make apps easier

Halifax Intermediaries has streamlined its online mortgage application process and upgraded the platform ahead of its rebrand to Lloyds next year.

The changes are designed to make the system easier to navigate and save advisers time when uploading documents.

Brokers can now drag and drop documents and upload multiple files at once.

The process for self-employed applications now has fewer data fields to complete.

Halifax says the changes were developed in response to broker feedback and form part of its wider investment in intermediary technology.

The lender is due to move to the Lloyds Intermediaries brand in early 2027.

Brokers do not need to take any action as part of the upgrade and their log-in details will remain the same.

Lloyds Banking Group head of strategic and technology partnerships Frances Cassidy says: “Brokers told us where we could make their day-to-day experience easier.

“We’ve listened, with a cleaner application journey, simpler document uploads and a more straightforward process for self-employed cases.

“Just as importantly, we’re improving the experience without changing the things brokers already rely on.

“Our core application journey is still familiar, while the modernised platform gives us greater flexibility to keep improving and respond to broker feedback.”
