The Right Mortgage Protection Network has appointed Amy Wilson as head of general insurance.

The Solihull-based group says Wilson takes up her new post this month, although she will continue to lead the network’s private medical insurance division, The Right PMI and Healthcare.

The group operates as a network of over 235 firms and advisors specialising in mortgages, protection and general insurance.

Wilson took charge of the group’s private medical insurance and general insurance business and its partnerships in 2017, two years after joining the network.

Right Mortgage Protection Network says it “was a natural fit for her to continue her work by taking up the post of head of general insurance”.

The Right Mortgage Protection Network managing director Adam Stretton adds: “When Amy joined the network back in 2015, I had no doubts that she would help us expand our network’s offering.”

Stretton continues that part of Wilson’s role will include “reaching more advisers nationwide to introduce them to another opportunity for their business”.

The Right Mortgage Protection Network head of general insurance Wilson says: “From the support we have given the advisers in 2020, we have increased the overall income in general insurance by 57 per cent and 28 per cent in private medical insurance from the same time in 2019.”

Wilson adds the group is “confident we can continue to build on this success and continue scaling this area further in the next year.”
