The Right Mortgage & Protection Network has appointed Rebecca Egerton as head of The Right Academy.

In her new role, Egerton will oversee, run and develop The Right Academy, being responsible for the co-ordination of the training and development programme for non-CAS advisers within the network.

Egerton will report into Jack Norrey, compliance director at The Right Mortgage & Protection Network.

She moves into the role from her previous position as supervision and development manager with The Right Mortgage, where she worked across both the main network and its subsidiary, The Later Life Lending Network.

Egerton joined the business in October 2022.

The Right Academy provides firms with a structured route in order to bring new advisers into the profession.

It includes induction training, development support, supervision, masterclasses and ongoing training towards Competent Adviser Status.

Last month The Right Academy announced it has developed 35 trainee advisers since its launch earlier this year, with a target of appointing 100 trainee advisers by the end of 2026.

The Right Mortgage & Protection Network managing director Ben Allen says: “The Right Academy is a major investment in the future of the advice profession, so it is vital we have the right leadership in place to help it develop successfully.”

“Rebecca brings first-hand experience, strong supervision and development knowledge, and a deep understanding of how to support people as they build their confidence and capability.”

“She has already made a strong contribution across the business, and this appointment reflects both her skills and the importance we place on The Right Academy.”
