The app, which also allows the user to open, view and manage savings accounts, is available to both new customers and existing members.
According to the lender, the app includes the ability to view mortgage and branch saving accounts as well as transfer of money in and out of app accounts.
Sally Morgan, operations director at Tipton & Coseley Building Society, said: “Creating a new distribution channel for customers and leading the mobile app development has been very exciting.
“It is a major investment and a key piece of our digital strategy.”
The society worked in partnership with fintech company Consectus to deliver the app.
Morgan added: “We recognised the necessity to meet our changing customer needs, many of whom want the ability to open and access their accounts from anywhere in the UK. The app provides this and makes it easy to do business with us.”
Paul D’Ambra, chief executive of Consectus, said: “We were delighted that Tipton & Coseley Building Society chose to work with us to deliver their new digital distribution channel.
“The launch of the mobile app is a fantastic achievement for the society and will enable them to deliver even better service to their existing and future customers.”
