Gable Group is gearing up to launch a 100% loan-to-value mortgage after securing funding.

The mortgage is set to be a five-year fixed over a 35-year term, backed by insurance from subsidiary Gable Sure.

It will not require a guarantor or any other form of collateral.

The products will be available via brokers and housebuilder partnerships, across England and Wales.

Gable is targeting £250m of lending in its first year.

The group was founded in 2024 and is led by co chief executives Joshua Weinstein and Chris Eaton.

Weinstein’s previous roles include six years at Investec, where he was responsible for high-value transactions in excess of £500m, followed by two years at ASK Partners, where he set up the institutional markets team.

Eaton has over 20 years’ experience in banking and financial services, including ten years at Barclays in a range of senior treasury and risk roles and more recently five years building Perenna Bank as deputy CEO.

Weinstein says: “Millions of UK renters are not locked out of homeownership because they cannot afford a mortgage.

“They are locked out by unaffordable deposit requirements.

“No-and-low-deposit mortgages have an essential role to play in today’s modern, well-regulated market, whilst also supporting the government’s new-build home target.

“Securing the long-term backing of a major European bank is a strong endorsement of the platform and products we have built and the growth prospects for this part of the funding stack.”
