The ranking of the large metro areas where home prices are rising the most is determined by factors including median listing price per square foot year-over-year change, median listing price and median days on market.
Median home listing prices grew only marginally on a nationwide basis in the past year – up by just 1.0% – but it has been a different story in the largest metropolitan areas.
Median listing prices per square foot in the top five large metros in this ranking have increased by an average of 11.04% year-over-year.
