Interbridge Mortgages has appointed Peter Griffiths as its new chair.
Griffths brings more than 40 years of senior leadership experience across banking, building societies and financial services transformation.
Previously, he served as chief executive of Sainsbury’s Bank overseeing significant strategic and operational transformation, and as chief executive of Principality Building Society between 2002 and 2012.
He has also held leadership roles across the industry, including chair of the UK Building Societies Association and chair of CBI Wales.
More recently, he has taken on the role of chair at Connells Group.
Commenting on his appointment, Griffiths says: “Interbridge has a clear sense of purpose and an exciting opportunity ahead. I’m looking forward to working with the board and leadership team to support the company’s long-term strategy and help position the business for sustainable growth.”
Interbridge chief executive Jonny Jones adds: “Peter’s depth of experience, particularly in regulated financial services environments, makes him an outstanding appointment for Interbridge.
