Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has appointed Waqar Khan as business development manager for the North West.

Khan joins from LendInvest, where he served as business development manager for the North West and North Wales. He supported intermediaries across buy-to-let, bridging and residential mortgages.

Previously, he has held a business development role at Aldermore, following roles at Lloyds Banking Group in relationship management and mortgage team management.

In his new role, Khan will report to Danny Kiely, head of sales, specialist mortgages and bridging finance at the bank.

He will manage his own portfolio of brokers across the region, alongside regional account director Wes Baker, who continues to manage relationships within his established network.

Commenting on his role, Khan says: “Having worked with brokers across the North West, I know how important it is to have a lender who takes the time to understand a case and is accessible throughout the process.”
