The Loans Engine has promoted Paul Zammit to become chief executive of the broker firm.

Zammit moves from his post as director of regulated mortgages at the business to take up the new role.

He replaces interim chief executive Andrew Turner, who is chairman of Norfolk Capital Group, which The Loans Engine is part of.

Prior to that, former chief executive Ryan McGrath left the broker in October 2021 as part of a restructuring.

Zammit joined the broker almost 21 years ago and his “wealth of experience, commitment, and proven leadership make him the ideal candidate to guide the company into its next chapter,” the firm says.

During his time at the business, Zammit has worked in a variety of roles, including intermediary sales manager and head of underwriting.

Zammit says he is “grateful for the trust the board and team has placed in me.”

He adds: “Having been with the company for so long, I am excited to lead it into a new era of innovation and success.”
