The mutual says that Ryatt’s more than 20 years of experience in the operational areas of the financial services industry would strengthen its management team.

She joins from MacMillan Cancer Support where she worked for four years, leaving as head of service operations in August.

Before that, she spent over 21 years at Santander in a range of management roles leaving as head of systems administration & command centre in 2016.

Leeds Building Society chief executive Richard Fearon says: “Ryatt brings with her a wealth of knowledge, experience and understanding of financial services and her proven track record in heading up operational areas will further strengthen our existing leadership team in pushing forward the delivery of our purpose.”

The business says Kaur is a qualified accountant with over 25 years of experience in financial services who has worked across, sales, data operations, audit, risk, change management, and customer operations roles.

She joins from Lloyd’s of London where she worked as head of operations.

Previously, she spent a decade at ABN Amro in a variety of roles leaving as head of its national contact centre in 2010.

Kaur says: “We are currently in a very difficult market environment so it’s essential that we continue to deliver a first-class experience to all our customers and help them as we face into a cost-of-living crisis.”

Fearon adds: “UK consumers face a very difficult period ahead, so her experience will be critical as we continue to put our customers at the forefront of everything we do.

“Kaur is passionate about transforming the financial services industry to enable it to become a more inclusive, accessible and safer industry for all customers.”
