Bluestone Mortgages has announced a raft of new hires and promotions following “a period of strong growth” at the specialist lender.

It has promoted Jack Warner to operations director, who has been with the business for more than four years and was its lending operations director.

Veteran Mark Hollands joins as national sales manager to lead the key account team. He will be responsible for strengthening the lender’s relationships with key brokers and the lender’s distribution partners.

Hollands has previously worked at Brightstar, Sainsbury’s Bank, Bank of Cyprus and TSB.

Neil Bunker is the lender’s new head of finance, and joins from Chetwood Financial, a UK-based challenger bank.

The business has promoted Mark Todd to business development team leader, who started at the firm in September 2018 as business development manager. Todd assumes responsibility for strengthening the lender’s phone business development team.

Four new underwriters also join the business as it deepens its capacity to handle “a growing number of complex credit mortgage borrowers”.

Bluestone Mortgages managing director Steve Seal says: “We are very excited to announce a number of appointments in the Bluestone team, especially at this time of huge growth for the business. Our top priority is supporting our intermediary partners, and these key promotions and hires will ensure that we are better equipped to do exactly that.”
