Bluestone Mortgages has appointed Ryan Davies as strategy director at the specialist lender. 

The firm says he will lead “the research, design, and implementation of the business’ strategic roadmap”, which includes the development of new products and other lending opportunities.  

Davies also forms part of the firm’s executive team responsible for supporting the leadership of the business.   

He joins from Hodge Bank, where he worked for just over seven years in a variety of roles leaving as managing director of mortgages last month. 

Davies says: “The mortgage market has changed significantly in recent months, and will continue to be impacted by the current high inflationary environment.  

“As a result, the market will need more specialist lenders to support the growing cohort of customers who struggle to meet the vanilla criteria of high street banks.” 

Bluestone Mortgages chief executive Steve Seal adds: “Ryan will play a pivotal role in expanding our offering and strengthening our position in the market.”
