The Openwork Partnership has added The Mortgage Lender to its lending panel.

The specialist lender focuses on underserved areas of the home loan market, such as the self-employed, entrepreneurs, and borrowers with complex incomes or credit histories.

Its range of mortgages are available to first-time buyers and re-mortgagers. The firm also offers residential and landlord loans across England, Scotland, and Wales.

The Openwork network comprises more than 4,200 financial advisers based in nearly 700 firms.

The Mortgage Lender distribution director Sara Palmer says: “As customer’s circumstances become increasingly more complex, our appointment offers more real-life options to support The Openwork Partnership’s advisers and their clients”.

The Openwork Partnership Mortgage Proposition Manager David Booth adds: “As a fully owned subsidiary of Shawbrook Bank, The Mortgage Lender has the ambition and enthusiasm to become a leader in the specialist lending market.

“With its head office in Glasgow, the addition of The Mortgage Lender to our panel will be well received by our advisers in Scotland in particular.”
