Ward will lead the specialist lender’s intermediaries team as it supports broker partners across a range of personal finance products, such as first and second charge mortgages, regulated bridging loans and consumer buy-to-let deals.  

This will involve ensuring that brokers are kept up to date on the firm’s products, reviewing how technology can better serve customers, and maintaining the business’ underwriting standards.  

Ward joined the business as intermediary project manager in April. She was previously commercial director at Central Trust for three-and-a-half years and has worked in financial services for 25 years.  

Ward says: “We have already made a series of positive changes, with pricing reductions across the entire range, deployment of ‘consent to follow’ on second charge loans, and the introduction of electronic income verification to name but a few, and there is so much more to come.”
