LiveMore has launched limited-edition rates and cut other fixed-rate loans, while Gatehouse Bank has also reduced purchase plan prices by up to 50 basis points.

The later life lender has introduced spring special limited-edition fixes for remortgages on two-year standard products and retirement interest-only loans.

Features include:

  • Two-year special fix, now from 5.88%, available until 30 April 2025
  • Rates 25bps to 59bps lower than the core fee range
  • Free valuations on property values up to £2m — as well as assisted legal fees for remortgages as normal
  • £995 product fee, which can be added to the loan
  • Minimum loan amount of £75,000

The lender has also repriced its core standard and retirement interest-only mortgage products, with reductions across all its 2, 3 and 4 products and the up to 100% debt consolidation products – apart from its two-year fix

  • Up to 34bps reduction on LiveMore 2
  • 20bps reduction on LiveMore 3 and 4

Finally, LiveMore has lowered the minimum age requirement for second borrowers. Joint applicants can now apply with the youngest borrower aged 40 or over, compared to the previous threshold of 45. Although, one borrower must still be aged 50, or above.

Meanwhile, Gatehouse Bank has made a 50bps reduction on the standard variable rate of its Shariah-compliant home purchase plans and buy-to-let purchase plans.

Gatehouse has also cut rental rates by 10bps on both standard and green two-year BTL fixes for overseas residents.

Gatehouse Bank’s green home finance products offer a reduced rental rate for customers acquiring or refinancing a property with an energy efficiency rating of A or B.

It also offsets the carbon emissions generated by the average UK property for the product’s initial fixed term.

The lender has also broadened its eligibility criteria, and now considers applications from international residents seeking BTL finance for houses in multiple occupations.

The firm says its plans are available for UK residents, UK expats and international residents seeking residential property finance in England and Wales.
