Edinburgh based Scottish Building Society has today announced the expansion of its regional lending footprint into the Midlands and surrounding areas.

Previously focused on lending across Scotland and the North of England, the society’s new geographic reach now includes Birmingham, Oxfordshire, and neighbouring counties opening up access to its mortgage products for a wider range of customers.

Commenting on the expansion Scottish BS head of intermediaries Stephen Brown said: “This expansion allows us to support more brokers and more borrowers particularly those whose needs don’t always fit the standard approach.”

He added:“Brokers in England have actively asked for this move, having seen the tangible benefits we offer. Our aim is to deliver lending with care and if you are not using us yet, you’re missing out’’
