The society has historically used manual processes and spreadsheets to capture, manage an report on compliance and risk management and regulatory change across the business.

However, it has identified the need for change and improvement. As such TriLine GRC’s automated solution to improve efficiency and provide concise and real-time reporting has been implemented.

Its governance risk and compliance system will sit alongside Family’s Triage PRO horizon scanning module.

The building society said the solution would provide it with a highly flexible and functionally rich framework to underpin enhanced GRC processes across the business, streamlining and improving efficiencies whilst embracing regulatory change and compliance.

Nicole Sharp, operational risk manager at Family Building Society said: “As part of our continual improvement strategy, the society will be upgrading our Risk and Compliance processes, workflow and reporting with the implementation of a new GRC system.

“After careful consideration, we have decided to choose TriLine GRC as they can provide the type of integrated system that we require. They also provide a modular system that allows us to control the pace of the implementation”.

Ian Wilson, director of sales at TriLine GRC added: “We are delighted that Family Building Society has selected TriLine’s GRC and Triage PRO regulatory horizon scanning solution to embed and underpin improved governance efficiencies across their business.

“Family Building Society is the eighth UK building society to place their trust in us and we look forward to supporting them roll-out and maximise the full scope of our solution functionality”.
