The top five banks in the ranking of depositories with the largest total loan volume held in portfolio decreased their loan volume by an average of 0.29% in the fourth quarter of 2024 compared to the prior quarter, with an average loan amount of more than $202 billion. Goldman Sachs saw the biggest growth in loan volume between the third and fourth quarters, with an increase of 5.61%. 

The data in this ranking was sourced from National Mortgage News' MortgageStats site, which pulls from quarterly call reports available from the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council.
