Real Estate business success during a crisis; What can you do to stand out?

As the world continues to deal with the Corona Virus epidemic, the lock down and social distancing rules haven’t stopped the essential workers from putting themselves in harms way by helping others through life changing events.  I give kudos to all of the hospital workers, police, airline personnel, etc for all that they do.  As an essential worker myself,  I appreciate these warriors and support them all the way.

During this crisis, I have been working hard to maintain my own Real Estate business, by doing everything I can to help my clients and fellow team at RE/MAX Prime Properties.

My last closing was challenging in so many ways, but despite the odds and uncertainty within the Real Estate industry, we got the deal done.  My clients were able to sell their home and both they, and their buyers, were happy. I am very thankful to have had a great buyer’s agent to work with, Laura Davis.

For everyone that knows me, I have been flying airplanes for over 30 years.  In the mid 90’s, I got involved in Real Estate and worked with my brother Marc, a fellow Realtor and Airline Pilot.  When he passed away a few years ago, It wasn’t until his funeral, that I realized how many lives he changed.  The testimonies were overwhelming. He was a true professional who took great care of everyone we worked with.  I took it upon myself to continue his legacy and have built my business over the years based on true success principles and practices.

My passion and motivation has always been to change lives and take care of my clients.  The home buying and selling process can be stressful!  For all my fellow Realtors, you know what goes into a successful real estate transaction.  There’s lot’s of moving parts in play from beginning to end, in a very dynamic, ever changing environment. So, who you work with matters!  That is why I do my absolute best to provide top notch service to everyone I work with. My reward goes beyond commission.  My reward is in my client’s satisfaction.  Money follows excellence so strive to be excellent at what you do!

I am a true believer in Leadership.  Leadership is a hard subject to describe because there are so many components to it.  However, I would say you know when you see leadership in action.  You also know when there’s a lack of leadership.

What is leadership? I believe it’s about doing the right thing because it’s the right thing to do.  I believe it’s about having character and integrity.  It’s about having competence, confidence and compassion, while doing what is necessary to get the job done.  I believe it’s about communication effectively, and more importantly, listening; a lost art. I believe it’s about being a life-long learner and providing value to everyone you meet.  I believe it’s about treating others how you want to be treated. I believe it’s about taking initiative, attacking the status quo and leading the way to change if necessary. There’s so much more to it but you get the idea.  In the end, that is how you succeed.  That is how you change lives and build relationships. That is how you leave a legacy.

I want to thank my Broker, Derek Sunderland, Office Manager, Michelle Dunkley and lastly, my business partner, Bart Barter, for always having my back and working hard to help our clients succeed.

I am also thankful for the reviews of my last clients and look forward to helping you!

Ben
